Step 2: Puppy Application

If you decide to move forward, we'll ask you to complete our puppy application form. This helps us understand:

• Your plans for training and socialization
• Your understanding of Scottish Terrier care requirements
• Veterinary references (if applicable)

We review all applications carefully and typically respond within 2-3 business days.

Step 3: Application Review & Approval

Once we receive your application, we'll:

• Review your application thoroughly

• Schedule a phone or video call to discuss your application

• Provide information about our current or upcoming litters

Step 4: Reservation & Deposit

Once approved, you can reserve a puppy by:

• Placing a non-refundable deposit (typically $500)
• Signing our puppy purchase agreement
• Reviewing our health guarantee
• Understanding our terms and conditions

Your deposit secures your place on our waiting list or reserves a specific puppy if one is available.

Step 5: Puppy Selection

When puppies are born or as they grow, we'll:

• Send you regular photo and video updates
• Provide information about each puppy's personality and development
• Schedule a visit or video call for you to meet the puppies (typically around 6-7 weeks)
• Help you select the puppy that best matches your family and lifestyle

Selection is typically done in the order deposits were received, though we may make recommendations based on temperament matching.

Step 6: Preparation for Homecoming

Before your puppy comes home (around 8-10 weeks of age), we'll provide you with:

• A comprehensive puppy care guide
• Feeding instructions and food samples
• Health records and vaccination schedule
• Microchip information
• AKC registration paperwork
• A puppy starter kit with toys and comfort items

Step 7: Final Payment & Pickup/Delivery

Before taking your puppy home:

• Final payment is due (balance of purchase price minus deposit)
• We'll schedule a pickup time or arrange delivery (see our delivery process)
• You'll receive all health documentation and registration papers
• We'll go over care instructions and answer any last-minute questions

Step 8: Lifetime Support

Our relationship doesn't end when you take your puppy home! We provide:

• Lifetime breeder support via phone, email, or text
• Guidance on training, health, and behavior questions
• Regular check-ins during the first year
• A community of Scottish Terrier families
• Return policy if circumstances change (we always take our dogs back)
